AMERICAN / BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) DIMINUTIVE MOURNING PORTRAIT, watercolor and gouache on card stock, depicting a lady wearing a black dress and shoulder wrap and a large black grieving bow to her head, seated in a scroll-back chair, holding a white envelope in one hand, no signature located. Housed under glass in a period molded and veneered mahogany frame retaining its original surface. Circa 1860. 6 1/2" x 4 1/8" sight, 10" x 7 1/2" OA.
