Ellery grade, key-wind movement, serial number 1043459, having a white enamel dial with Roman chapter ring, sunk seconds subsidiary, and blued-steel spade hands, housed in an 18K yellow gold hunter case with fine engine-turned and pictorial engraved decoration featuring a vignette to front of a landscape with buildings. Back of movement with marks, interior case cover marked "WARRANTED / 18 / CARAT FINE / 1919", exterior cuvette engraved "A Father's Gift / 1878", interior cuvette marked "PAT. / JUNE 2nd / 1874".
