SIMONS BROTHERS NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR STERLING SILVER SEWING THIMBLE WITH CASE, thimble with band featuring an embossed skyline view over "NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR", including a velvet-covered egg-form fitted case, top set with glass cabochon which reads, "1939 / N.Y.W.F", next to the Trylon and Perisphere. Thimble with "STERLING SILVER" and maker's mark to interior. Each retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card. Simons, Bro. & Co./Simons Bros. Co., Philadelphia, PA. 1939. Case 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" OA.
Provenance: The Mildred Jarvis Collection, Kennesaw, GA.
Condition
Thimble in very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks; case in good overall condition with wear, spots of velvet loss and stains, hinge slightly loose but secure.
