W. AVERY & SON AND OTHER BRASS FIGURAL SEWING NEEDLE CASES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising three W. Avery examples consisting of two Quadruple Golden Casket examples, each embossed with name featuring one example with a butterfly and remaining with a shield, each having sliding pin to raise interior brass sleeves, and a Beatrice example in a six-section hinged accordion fold style with floral shield decoration; and a Banks & Co., example, marked with makers name and "CUMBERLAND LEAD / KESWICK". Each retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card. Fourth quarter 19th century. 2 1/4" TO 2 3/4" HOA.
Provenance: The Mildred Jarvis Collection, Kennesaw, GA.
