Description

ROYAL GUARD FIGURAL MATCH-STRIKER / LIGHTER, heavy cast metal, figure with polychrome finish in red, black, green and gold. Head flips back, revealing pull out metal match, strike it on base to light. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 9 1/4" H.
Provenance: The collection of Larry Spradley, Beaumont, TX.

Ex-collection of Rick Hornwood of Camarillo, CA.

Condition

Crazing and some wear to decoration. Hole on the underside of hands, as made. Separations in both legs, possibly as made. Edge of strike track is bent.
