Description
Two 19th Century Continental Porcelain Centerpieces. Of similar design, designed as round rockwork substrates, supporting numerous figures dressed as gallant males and females in 18th Century style, painted in bright polychrome enamels, surrounded by, and holding extensive floral garlands, baskets, and farm animals. One with pink and one with blue band to base. Meissen style crossed batons marks. Probably Limoges. Circa 1885. {Approximate dimensions: 17 1/2" H. x 11" Diameter}. {Condition: basic condition is good, considering the extensive foliate encrustations, and figural work. There are losses to one figure, to back; wings tips of flowers. The base bands have losses and chips, etc.}.
