Description
A Russian gilded silver and shaded cloisonne enamel tea glass holder, 6th Artel, Moscow, circa 1908-1917. The tea glass holder of good weight and heavy gauge, the openwork body raised on spreading foot, enameled with stylized flowers, fruits and geometric ornament against mottled cream and celadon or forest green grounds, with applied cloisons forming leaves, spirals, or geometric shapes, the raised and shaped handle enameled in shades of peach, aubergine, sky blue, turquoise, the rim with a row of brightly colored leaves. Height: 4 1/4 in. (10.7 cm).
