5 Red Squirrels on Tree Antique Cased Taxidermy Mount. Fine example of antique taxidermy featuring five impossibly cute red squirrels in various squirrel-like poses around a tree hollow. One has a nut in its hands, another some moss in its mouth to make a nest with. 3-sided glass case is painted black with gilt trim details. in a Naturalistic setting with lifelike textures and backdrop painted a sunset gradient from light blue to pink. Label at bottom left of back panel reads "May 75" and an illegible name, possibly "Eyre," in handwritten script.

Dimensions are 32 in h x 18.5 in w x 9.5 in d. Condition is good, with wear to wood, chips to paint and crack down back that has been taped over. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
