Description
Two stacking side chairs designed by Don Albinson. Albinson a Cranbrook peer of Charles and Ray Eames, Harry Bertoia and Eero Saarinen worked in the Eames office as head designer 13 years before becoming the director of Design for Knoll in 1964, where he designed this Model 1601 stacking chair. Molded red orange plastic and cast aluminum; nylon floor glides. Circa 1965. Molded mark to base reads: Art Metal Inc. Jamestown NY and Knoll Associates Inc. 320 Park Avenue NY NY. Dimensions: H 31.75" x W 20" x D 20" x SH 18" Condition: Minor cracking to plastic where leg attaches to seat. Tarnish; one missing bolt cap.

All the items in this auction remain at our Annex Gallery in Bridgeport, CT for pickup or shipping. Items must be picked up or shipped in the time frame of Wednesday, April 20th - Friday, April 29th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS.
