Here is a nice 1960’s Fender Stratocaster Body. COLOR: previous candy apple red nitrocellulose finish. Country of Origin: USA. WEIGHT: 3lbs 9.6ozs (1kg/630g). The collector states that this came from the 1960’s however does not know the exact year, mentioned for clarity. This body is super lightweight. Identifying features show the routing tool impressions inside the pickup and electronics cavities. Also, there are two finish pinholes located just above the left side of the tremolo and between the neck and neck pickup cavities. The pickup cavities were routed with round ends and not squared off which started in the early 1971. Originally this body was finished with Candy Apple Red nitro. There are indications of the gold metallic primer everywhere and even some of the red finish in the neck pickup cavity. There is also an inscription of the letters CAR in the same cavity. There is also the black ink stamped numbers of 22319 and B located in the neck cavity. There are chips, scratches, and dings however this body is ready for a restoration. This body comes with the original strap buttons, jack, and jack cup. As always please see all photos for more detail and ask any questions prior to bidding.
