Signed by the authors Aronson and Brockman on the front endpaper.
Original dust jacket in mylar cover, hard boards, original publisher's cloth with gold lettering on spine [some white paint at the bottom edge of the front board: see photo]; 8.1/4" x 10.3/4"; signed on the front endpaper, 180 pages including Index; many illustrations, very good condition.
John Hugo Aronson (1891-1978) was an American politician and businessman, the 14th Governor of the State of Montana.
J. Hugo Aronson was born Sept. 1 1891 in a small soldier croft Kullen, in Navstocka, Sodra Sam. In 1911, he immigrated to the United States, where he traveled to numerous states, working various odd jobs. He eventually settled in Sunburst, Montana and became established in the oil rigging business. Aronson first entered politics as alderman of the Cut Bank City Council 1934-1938. He served as a member of the Montana House of Representatives 1939-1944, and was a member of the Montana State Senate from 1945 to 1952; and was elected governor from 1952-1960.
