This guitar was in a Time Machine and just appeared, we have a 2001 Fender Custom Shop 69 Stratocaster New Old Stock. SERIAL NUMBER: R08447. COLOR: Black Nitrocellulose Finish. WEIGHT: 7lbs 12.4ozs (3kg/530g). This guitar is in excellent, like new and unplayed condition. Guitar is 100% original, no modifications. Plastic film is still on the pickguard and tremolo plate, original strings. Beautiful black body nitro finish. Wood stamp underneath the pickguard is Fender Custom Shop Relic. All chrome hardware is in pristine condition. Pickups are Abagail Ybarra Custom Shop 60’s, one being hand initialed and dated AY 4-2-01. Aluminum shield is hand dated 4-18-01. Pots are stamped CTS 0040 denoting the CTS Co. dated the 40th week of 2000. The maple neck has a dreamy 7.25 radius, U shape profile. Absolutely no fretware. Down at butt is black ink stamped 69 STRAT, JUL 27, 2001, red ink stamped 7/25/01, and wood stamped RELIC. At the end of the butt is black ink stamped 22JUL01B, denoting 22 for the Stratocaster model number, dated July of 2001 and B for the width of the neck at the nut, 1 5/8 inch. This beautiful 69 Stratocaster comes with its original Fender black tolex case in excellent condition with keys, Certificate of Authenticity signed by Mike Eldred, Custom Shop Manager and dated 8/21/2001, unopened Custom Shop case candy to include manual, Custom Shop sticker, polishing cloth, spring envelope with springs, tremolo arm, and cable. Also, a vintage 60’s style leather guitar strap, additional 5-way control switch and ashtray bridge cover. As always please see all photos for more detail and ask any questions prior to bidding.
