This dress was owned and worn by Marilyn Monroe and comes with a letter of provenance. This red taffeta skirted dress with spaghetti straps was owned and worn by Screen Legend Marilyn Monroe. This dress is in great condition for its age. The item was obtained directly from Mr. Sydney Guilaroff, who was a famous Hollywood Hairdresser who worked in the industry from the late thirties to the 1970’s and a little in the Eighties. Mr. Guilaroff was very close friends with Marilyn and did her hair for the movies and personal appearances for many years. Mr. Guilaroff was also one of Marilyn’s pallbearers and had the privilege of doing her hair for her funeral. Mr. Guilaroff passed this dress and many other items to Frank Ferrucci of Frank’s Closet. This item comes with a certificate from Franks Closet attesting to these facts and the dresses authenticity.
