Mid 19th century, mahogany and mahogany veneer. Heavily carved with acanthus scroll back and arms and cornucopia legs with paw feet. Refinished with ivory reupholstery. Old edge nicks, age splits in veneer and split in one front leg. 35"h. 75"w.

Edge wear on high points, especially cornucopia and feet. Pleasant refinishing. Back top rail has several splits that go through rail including one on right side that has additional old puttied repair. Arms have some wear and right has edge nicks as well as split at bottom. Pieced repairs to some of the toes on the feet and left rectangle above legs (right rectangle has splits). Bowed rail under seat has veneer bubbles, back has scuffs and some shrinkage.
