Dr. Franz Riss was Arthur Krupp's general secretary until 1945. Owner's father was Director of the "Klinkosch Gold-und Silberwarenfabrik" a Krupp subsidiary in Vienna. Arthur Krupp was the owner and founder of the "Berndorfer Metallwaarenfabrik" a firm producing tableware in silver and Chinese silver as well as bronze sculptures employing at one point 6,000 employees.
