Near East, Holy Land, ca. 1500 BCE; The Levant, Israel; ca. 1950 CE. A hand-carved steatite bead from the ancient Holy Land area and a more recent vintage Judaica pendant made from creamy white agate. The stone seal bead has a conical shape with a rooster on the stamp face and a stag carved into the handle side. A drilled perforation hole is drilled laterally through the center of the tip for suspension on a cord from a belt or as a necklace. The Judaica pendant is spade shaped and engraved in Hebrew invoking Israel and God with a star of David, bird, and fish motif. This pendant has a suspension hole through the top and is wearable. Size (steatite seal): 0.75" L x 0.65" W (1.9 cm x 1.7 cm); (Hebrew pendant): 1.5" L x 1.25" W (3.8 cm x 3.2 cm)
