Description:
Lithographed map. 50.5x68.5 cm (19¾x27"), hinged to mat.
Street map of a large swath of San Francisco, including portions of the Western Addition, Pacific Heights, Laurel Heights, lower and middle Haight, and adjacent areas, bounded by Larkin, Market, Haight, Masonic and Pacific. But the crucial feature is the "Proposed New Street" which cut at an angle across the whole map, from Market Street to the corner of Clay and Central streets, increasing the value of the properties along the way. The new street remained proposed, and was never built. There are no copies listed in OCLC.

Map expertly backed with Japanese tissue; old folds with some loss along one of them, affecting a few words in the title, and to the table itemizing the value of improvements; very good.
