Description

1 Large 19th century ornate setting foil enamel button.
This incredible example, most likely produced in Limoges France, is such a striking and beautiful example of the craftsmanship employed in the 19th century. Not only was the artist who created this foil enamel talented, the mounting chosen is so striking and acts to set the center enamel of Lily's of the valley off with its pierced brass setting enhanced with Turquoise colored glass stones and cut steels. Alice Mucha of the Bronx prized this example in her collection. In magnificent condition.
