Each marked for Meissen with blue underglaze crossed swords over a dot or asterisk [Marcolini Period or earlier]
Each baluster-form lidded vase encrusted with white mayflower blossoms, surmounted by a parrot perched on fruiting vines, and flanked by twisting branch handles issuing "schneeballen" floral clusters with various colorful nesting songbirds, 2 pieces
Each: 24" H x 12" Dia.

Provenance: Sale: Sloan's, "Estate Sale," September 11, 12 & 13, 1998, Lot 1296

Notes: This lot is accompanied by a Sloan's printed auction catalogue and a photograph.

Condition

Each overall good condition with shelf wear, scattered minor scuffs, and inherent firing flaws commensurate with age. Issues and repairs include, but are not limited to: scattered chips and breaks to applied relief decorations; various restorations and repairs, more prominently to the handles and leaves; each with restorations to the joining where the foot meets the body, visible under blacklight. Each with mounting putty residue.
