Large Handpainted Restored American Tole Tray by lowcountry artist, Barbara Keller. Flowers and foliage . Measures 20"x16"x1 1/4". Weight 3 pds. Barbara Keller is a self-taught artist residing in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Working in oils, she still concentrates on seascapes, landscapes and florals. Several years ago, Barbara began to paint porcelain. She follows a traditional approach with Dresden and floral designs. Barbara is also reviving the lost art of painting tinware/tole. She restores old pieces when possible, adapts patterns from antique sources and uses her own designs to create the unique beauty that is toleware.
