This 1984 Fender Precision 62 Reissue Bass Guitar in excellent condition, very low serial number. This is an unbelievable find! SERIAL NUMBER: V009609. WEIGHT: 8 lbs 12.6 ozs (3kg/990g). This beautiful Bass features a 3 tone Sunburst Nitro finish, and we could only find a couple minor marks/dings on this body however marks were already filled in and hard to notice- mentioned for clarity. There is one light scratch on the neck plate as well, very minor. Body is just starting to show signs of checking, mentioned for clarity. The tortoise shell pickguard matches the body perfectly and displays stunningly. Aluminum pickguard shield is underneath. Pot code is stamped 1378411 denoting the CTS Co. dating the 11th week of 1984 (second pot is not visible due to wire). The plastic wire you see is factory original as Fender used this wire to ground the bridge, cloth wiring to ground the bridge was too thick. All hardware looks perfect. Some nice light patina to the screws. The neck is absolutely flawless. Decal is on top of the nitro finish, tuners have a light patina to them. The neck has a 7.25 radius, perfect C shape profile. We are not taking the neck off this guitar for fear of potentially disrupting the finish on the body. What you have here is an incredible time capsule. This exquisite Precision Bass comes with its original Duck Foot Tweed case in great condition with normal handling ware/minor imperfections. Inlcudes keys, hang tag, warranty card, manual, unopened polishing cloth, chrome pickup and bridge covers with screws. Made in Fullerton, CA. USA.
