A vintage French poster, Doriane Chanteuse, by Charles Gesmar, French, 1900 to 1928. Circa; 1920s. The French theatrical Cabaret poster features a woman performer in a yellow and pink feathered dress with beads on black background. Titled in the print upper to the center. Inscribed in the print, Imp Kaplan Paris, lower to the center. marked, Published and Distributed by Import Images, New York, lower left. Charles Geismar (born Geismar), simply known as Gesmar, was one of the greatest designers of costumes and posters during the golden age of the Paris music hall during the Jazz Age and was primarily renowned for his work for the great Parisian star Mistinguett.
