Description
Silver shooting award in the form of a pin from the German Hunting Association (‘Reichsbund Deutsche Jagerschaft’), the official hunting society of Nazi Germany, led by Hermann Goring. Membership was mandatory for all persons with a hunting license. The circular badge bears their insignia, the skull of a deer with a swastika between the antlers, and a banner split between the head with the letters 'D.J.' for Reichsbund Deutsche Jagerschaft, with laurels encircling the top half. Year of presentation, 1936, engraved on the obverse beneath the insignia, with mark 'GES GESCH' on the reverse. Light tarnish, else fine.
