Description
(1897 - 1982) Soviet-Armenian military commander and Marshal of the Soviet Union, the first non-Slavic military officer to become a commander of a front. Partly printed D.S. in Russian, 2pp. 4to., [n.p.], 1947, largely untranslated but a military evaluation of the deputy commander the 30th Guards' Mechanical Division. Also signed by MAKAR TERYOKHIN (1896–1967), Soviet Army lieutenant general and a Hero of the Soviet Union. He commanded the 2nd Red Banner Army during the Soviet invasion of Manchuria during August and September 1945.
