With a conical shade, decorated with white and mottled pink and red poinsettia blossoms, raised on a standard formed as a cluster of pond lily stems, with spurious tag stamped ORIGINAL SOMERS STAINED GLASS DEER PARK, NY. Height 30 1/2 inches; height of shade 12 inches, diameter 24 inches.

shade appears to be in good, undamaged condition; there may be a few individual glass segments that have tight hairline cracks, however, none were observed in a quick allover examination; base appears to be in generally good condition; finial does not currently thread properly (too short and possibly a replacement) and therefore the finial does not properly secure the shade into place on the base; the lamp is currently wired, however, there are patches with duct tape, which strongly suggests the wire should be replaced; there are three light sockets with modern Leviton on/off paddle switches; sockets and wiring were not tested; base is not signed; base does not have a base plate or felt lining, possibly as designed, however, possibly removed to remove the identity of the manufacture; the cluster of lily pad leaves at the bottom of the base are not fixed into place, i.e, they move around and can be lifted upwards
Please Note: the shade is affixed with a metal tag for the Somers Stained Glass Co., however, it appears this tag was added later to represent that the shade (and possibly the lamp base) was made by this company, however, the lamp appears to be of recent manufacture and was not manufactured by the Somers firm; the tag is a misrepresentation and not authentic or original to the shade
