Description
Heavily gilded Neoclassical/Egyptian Revival teacup and saucer with motifs of insects, owls, sphinx, and Classical figures. From the Sorgenthal Period (1784-1864); both pieces marked with shield mark, factory stamp 7, and date stamp 824 indicating year 1824. Dimensions: (Cup) H 4" x W 4.5" x D 3.75" (Saucer) H 1.5" x Dia. 6.5" Condition: Teacup with one flea bite to rim near handle; both pieces showing normal light surface rubbing and scuffs to gilding/decoration.

All the items in this auction remain at our Gallery in Norwalk, CT for pickup or shipping. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Wednesday, March 30th - Friday, April 8th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS.
