Description

Maison Jansen (French, 1880-1989), ebonized and brass mounted bureau plat or desk and cartonnier in the Louis XVI taste, having a curved top storage area with brass grill to the doors, double single-light electric sconces, tooled leather top, three-drawers to one side with three faux drawers to the other, turret corners, and rising on tapering fluted legs. Two drawers to the cartonnier and one long drawer stamped "Jansen". Approx. overall, h. 55.75", w. 54.5", d. 26".

Condition

Wear to shades; lights are untested; some edgewear; case is structurally sound.
