Pair of Chinese blue and white vases now mounted as lamps, the vases of baluster form with dished rims above waisted necks decorated with the character Shuangxi or Double Happiness, on a floral scrollwork ground, flanked by figural handles, above a tapering body with conforming decoration, mounted with a single light and resting on a carved wooden base. Approx. Vase h. 17.25", w. 7.5". lamp overall h. 34.5".

Examined under blacklight. Vase 1:, a L 3.5" horizontal scratch on the middle of the body, a chicken foot hairline to the underside, and 3-5 1/8"-1/4" glaze skips on body.
