Chinese gilt embellished blue vase, now mounted as a lamp, of phoenix-tail form, having a trumpet neck decorated with alternating phoenixes and dragons with lotus flowers, above a shouldered body with a large ruyi band and conforming phoenix and dragon decoration, with no mark. the lamp having a carved hardstone finial of the character Shuangxi or Double Happiness, above a double socket, the vase resting on a patinated metal base with outswept feet. Approx Vase h 17.25", w 8.5". overall with mount h 34", w 8.5"

Examined under blacklight. Having a L 3' hairline extending from a repaired break in the rim. Wear to the gilt decoration throughout.
