Chinese blue and white phoenix vase,of meiping form, having a short neck above a tapering shouldered body decorated with phoenixes interspaced with lotus scrollwork, flanked by floral scrollwork and lappet bands, having a blue, six character Xuande mark at shoulder. Approx. h. 17.25". w. 8.75".

Examined under blacklight. No chips, cracks, or loses noted. There is a glaze flaw in the foot rim that appears to be a hairline but is not. There is also a 1/4" glaze skip in the body.
