This is a vintage studio jewelry pendant from contemporary Taiwanese/American artist, David Kuo. The large and striking pendant features a champlevé enamel decorative technique with bright colors and a distinct Cubist influence. It is signed by the artist on the reverse. Kuo's contemporary "CHAMPLEVE" is a process which David learned from his father, the renowned artist, Kuo Ming Chiao. The Kuo family has taken this ancient process, refining and modernizing the technique to create their own distinctive designs and colors.

In overall very good condition. The enamel exhibits some pitting and tiny scattered losses to the front around the edges. The back exhibits a flake to the enamel below the signature as pictured.
