Description
Mid-19th c. English Salt Glazed Ceramic Pitcher, made by Elijah Jones at the Villa Pottery, Cobridge (in partnership with Edward Walley, 1840-1865), octagonal paneled sides with relief molded basket weave and grapevine decoration, scrolled handle, applied medallion on base reads: "Published by E. Jones, Cobridge, July 4, 1840, Basket, 12", 10 1/4" high, 7" x 5 1/2". Good condition.
