Description
This handsome machine with the highly figured circassian walnut is in overall good original as found condition. The original finish appears to have been lightly varnished over some time ago. Few minor scrapes here and there. Cabinet has all of the original hardware. the rear of the cabinet is equipped with rear doors. This is often seen on high grade machines in the event they were to be fitted with an electric motor. Machine has gold finish Victor Improved Concert reproducer, both reproducer and tone arm have original gold plating in average condition with some wear. Several scratches are on the tone arm where an accessory semi automatic stop rod was added. Both the semi automatic break and stop rod appear to be accessories that were installed later, meaning not original to the machine and are both nickel plated. Has original gold needle cup and winding crank, crank escutcheon needs to be reattached, motor winds and runs. Please note that both the motor and board are of the correct generation for this machine however the finish on the board appears different from the rest of the machine. Also, there is veneer damage on the board under the turntable which is not normally visible. Lower portion of the cabinet opens exposing record storage with 1 shelf. Has older replacement iron casters, could use a good cleaning and should restore nicely. A real beauty!
