1960s Fender Villager XII 12 string acoustic guitar. Made in USA. SERIAL NUMBER: 28945 WEIGHT: 5lbs 10.8ozs. WOOD: Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, maple neck with rosewood finger board and bridge. This beauty was only made between 1965-1969. This acoustic is 100% original, no modifications. The cracks in the finish appear to be just that. Upon inner body inspection, we do not see any cracks through the wood. Just a really nice 50+ year guitar with natural relicing. Really cool Fender "hockey stick" bolt on neck with original F tuners. There are some scratches and scrapes but nothing major at all. Stamped in the body reads Manufactured by Fender Musical Instruments, Santa Ana, California, USA. Another stamping reads 9 23. Dating this acoustic has been difficult even with the serial number of 28945. Based on the F tuners and the ink stamp of 9 23 it is possible it could has been made on the 23 week of 1969 but we are unsure. Needless to say this villager is a great guitar. Includes its original Victoria Luggage Co. guitar case in very good condition. Would make an excellent addition to any shop, collection or home.
