Meissen pate sur pate vase or urn with beautifully done cupid putti on front and back in a pinkish lilac background oval. Fine gold gilding decoration all over vase as well as platinum & gold flowers and leaves surrounding portraits. 19th century. Dimensions H 9.5 x W 5.

Excellent examined under black light and no repairs found. No chips or cracks. Very minor gold & platinum wear. One little spot at rim of gold missing. Old bolt on bottom stuck & does not unscrew. Additional outer rim of lid I see spot where gold is worn and at the middle there is a spot of gold touchup paint about 3 mm long and just above that the blue looks like a small touchup spot. No damage at all on the white underside of that area. See last 2 photos I added. Please email any questions. Note: Bidder thought maybe lid would have reticulation and possibly be a replacement. My answer was lid fits in the recess perfectly and color is identical. All bidders should consider this.
