Mahogany veneered case with bronze applications.
Signed white dial with seconds hand.
Eight days winding machine, square plates, engraved on the back, hour chiming on a bell.
Measurements: 52 x 28 x 19 cm.
Bracket type clock with mahogany case, made in London by the Spaniard Tomás Lozano. Its structure is architectural, consisting of a moulded base, a façade with arches on the front and back (openwork rosettes on the sides), and a sloping roof or pagoda. Four fleurons decorate the cornice. The dial, signed by Tomás Lozano, has Roman numerals on the hours and Arabic numerals on the minutes. It has openwork hands. It is accompanied by a seconds hand. On the front arc, two bronze spandrels with rockery and leaves in the classical style decorate the sides. The flanks are decorated with bronze appliqués in the form of stipes with vegetal bodies and anthropomorphic busts. Tomás Lozano worked in London from 1765, beginning as an apprentice to the master John Marrie at Saint Jame's Wetminster for the first seven years.
