Description
This machine and its handsome walnut cabinet is in untouched, as found condition. Cabinet has original finish has a few minor scratches and dings, mostly on top cover with a cigarette burn as well. The phonograph has original electric pickup reproducer, tone arm with well worn oxidized brass finish. The pot metal tone arm support is broken, see photos. Has original waste needle cup. All of the cabinet's decorative moldings and hardware are present. Original grill and grill cloth are in good original condition. When introduced in 1928, this machine sold for a whopping $550. This early electric machine used a RCA AZ 744 amplifier chassis with 6" cone speaker. Chassis appears complete with all tubes and is quite dirty, could use a good cleaning. Has original power cord present. Radio and phonograph are untested. Measures 45.25"T x 27"W x 19"D. See photos.
