A antique American fraternal sword from the late 19th to early 20th century. KGE inscription on the handle stands for the Knights of the Golden Eagle, a fraternal organization created in Baltimore which reached its height around 1900. Swords of this fraternity play a symbolic not a martial role. Longsword type. Light wooden grip. Cast decorative pommel in form of an eagle. KGE inscription on the hilt with an eagle coat of arms.
