Description
George Vertue (English, 1684 - 1756), "The Royal Procession of Queen Elizabeth..." (otherwise called "The Royal Procession of Queen Elizabeth to Visit Blackfriars"), 1742. Copperplate engraving on paper. Inscribed in Latin and English. After an oil painting from 1580 of the same subject. The print measures 18" tall by 22" wide (opening). Framed in gilt and black painted wooden frame, measuring 26 3/4" tall by 30 1/4" wide by 1 1/2" deep. Expected aging to print, one possible repair, but good condition overall.
