DESCRIPTION: A Lalique "The Masque de Femme" choker necklace. The choker frame is designed in gold-colored metal with an intricate wavy pattern. The central motif displays a "Masque de Femme" carved clear crystal motif, revealing the face of a mysterious woman with delicate features, surrounded by aquatic fauna. The Masque de Femme panel was created by Rene Lalique in 1935 to adorn a fountain, and embodies the imaginative power of its creator, who was fascinated by women and nature. (Ref. L2).
