DESCRIPTION: An after Emile Galle (France, 1846-1904) cameo glass vase, in the Art Nouveau style. The ground color of the vase is satin frosted clear glass with a second layer in matte dark beige color. It is decorated with a river scene with a large willow tree, frondous vegetation, and a standing stork bird. It is acid etched in two layers in green and black glass overlay colors. The cameo glass layer has received two acid etched cuttings to give the form and details of the design. A "Galle" signature appears on the side of the vase.
