Fine and Rare English Mechanical Library Chair, C. 1840. The wing back can be reclined by pulling a side handle; the arms are hinged for opening out or removal; with slide-out, adjustable leg/foot rest. Frame with turned front legs, scroll handrests; on brass wheels. Newly upholstered in brown leather. Labeled manufacturer: J. Ward Manufacture to the Queen and Royal Family. Provenance: LT Antiques, Kent, England. Size: 45'' x 29'' x 29'' (114 x 74 x 74 cm). Property from the Jim and Kit Horne Collection.
