Antique Carved Wood Avalokiteshvara, China, 19th c. Figure standing on double lotus base with twelve pairs of arms fanning out from the shoulders, the principle hands in anjalimudra, the others holding various attributes, surmounted with the head of Amitabha, with beaded jewelry and flowing scarves. Provenance: Wealthier Art & Auction, La Puente, CA, September 30, 2017, Lot 156. Size: 19'' x 12'' x 5'' (48 x 30 x 13 cm). Property from the Jim and Kit Horne Collection.
