Heinrich Kley (German, 1863-1945) "Leben und Ausleben Lassen" (Live and Let Live), 1919, crayon, pen, and ink drawing, signed and dated. Depicts a crocodile with top hat and walking stick being chased by a tiger and nude woman. A frog with top hat is seen holding a champagne bottle to the right in the background. Provenance: Bruneau & Co., Cranston, RI, February 18, 2017, Lot 78; Redmann Galerie, Berlin, Germany.Size: 8'' x 13'', 20 x 33 cm (sight); 16'' x 21'', 41 x 53 cm (frame).
