Gilt-bronze Figure of Yama with Chamunda, Sino-Tibet, possibly 19th century, structured with six separately cast parts, the central Yama striding on the back of a buffalo trampling a naked figure lying on her back on a lotus throne, his arms stretched open with hands holding a striped rope and a skull staff, his body jeweled with ribbons and a necklace of severed heads, the Chamunda clinging to him dressed in an animal skin, all before a flaming aureole, closed base with a double vajra, ht. 15, wd. 10 in.
