Description
This early trade sign features the lake island near St. Mary’s. In 1880, Andrews relocated to its' historic landmark location at 135 Queen Street East. He salvaged this awning and stored it in the attic of the new location. His store would remain one of Ontario’s most prestigious jewellers for over a century, and was featured in the Canadian television series "Murdoch Mysteries". Wood and fabric. Signed, "J.
