Here are the specifications:

Provenance: This money clip once belonged to the famous mobster Thomas BlackJack McGinty. He started out as a boxer, then went to promoting fights and further on to betting on the fights. He also was huge in the bootlegging and gambling industry. Thomas was a part of the Cleveland Irish mob but his reach was all over eastern North America and he was known as the King of the Ohio Bootleggers. Then later went on to own the famous Desert Inn Hotel in Las Vegas with other well-known names such as Moe Dalitz, Morris Kleinman, Lou Rothkopf and others during the 1950s. He was also involved in Meyer Lansky's Hotel Nacional in Havana, Cuba. This piece comes with a hand written and signed authentication from the previous owner. The back reads to Tom from Carl. Carl was in fact the Carl Brisson, a famous Dutch actor and singer mostly known for his work in Alfred Hitchcock films. More information can be learned about Tommy and Carl from the book Tommys Place written by Frank Monastra, a copy of that same book comes with another one of his pieces of jewelry, a lion pendant likely from the same jeweler which is also in this auction.
