Description
A group of three Chinese blue and white porcelain snuff bottles dating from the 19th century. The cylindrical bottle features five figures in a landscape scene. The narrow ovoid bottle features six labeled figures on a white, ge glaze ground. It is attached to its wooden stand. And the final bottle is a large ovoid bottle featuring eight figures on horseback approaching a ninth figure outside a set of city walls. The bottom of this bottle has a 6-character mark and an incision reading "CHINA." It comes with a wooden stopper and spoon.
Dimensions are: the cylindrical bottle measures 3 inches tall X 1 1/4 inches in diameter, 7.6 cm X 3.2 cm. The narrow ovoid bottle measures 2 5/8 inches tall without its stand X 1 1/4 inches in diameter, 6.7 cm X 3.2 cm. The large ovoid bottle measures 2 3/4 inches tall X 1 3/4 inches in diameter, 7 cm X 4.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The cylindrical bottle has a chip to the rim and a firing crack to the lower body. The narrow ovoid bottle is attached to its wooden stand. The large ovoid bottle is incised on the bottom.
