The drawing has writing in the lower right and says (Fabelo 2005). The paper is in very good condition with some slight yellow stains on the reverse side that appear to have been caused by age. Very nice drawing on paper for lovers and fans of Roberto Fabelo.

Roberto Fabelo (born 1950, Camagüey, Cuba) is a painter, sculptor, draftsman and illustrator. He is known for his absurd humor which he incorporates in his watercolors and sculptures. He studied at the National School of Art (1976) and at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana (1981). He is a member of "The Generation of Sure Hope" that began in the eighties.One of his most popular works is "Fantastic Voyage" (2012), a sculpture of a series of women with forks riding on chickens. It is one of the largest statues in Havana without being a monument.

Fabelo has won numerous awards for his art, including the National Culture Medallion (Cuba), the Alejo Carpentier Medallion, first place at the XI International Drawing Biennial in the United Kingdom, first place at the First Ibero-American Biennial of Watercolor in Viña. del Mar, Chile and UNESCO prize for the promotion of fine arts.In 1984 Fabelo was recognized at the first Havana Biennial, an exhibition held every two years to show contemporary art. His work has been shown in more than 40 individual exhibitions and in more than 500 group exhibitions in countries such as Switzerland, Japan, the United States, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica and Ecuador. 1 he lives and works in Havana, Cuba.
