Description
Circa 1100-1200 ADFinelly crafted in silver with gilt inlay forming intricate floral motifs, the strap end with "fleur de lis" at the top and a floral motif at the centre, with a small collar between the lis and the rest of the strap end, the belt buckle has been finely made with further floral motifs and gilding. Size: Set of 2: L:105 mm / W: 15mm, 22 mm; 29g Provenance: Property of a London Ancient Art Gallery; formerly in the famous Alison Barker collection, a retired London barrister; acquired between early 1960s to 1990s.
